    Your best music lesson is one where you are listening...this is one of many reasons God gave us all two (2) ears and one (1) mouth/voice, to be used in this proportion. 

    I've selected mostly the old blues masters, country music players, rock players and jazz players, because in my learning to play over these many years, these are the guitar players I listened to and stole their licks (as has done just about everybody I know), to then adopt/adapt them to my own style, feel and voice.  Learning to play licks is one thing, but the difference here in then making them your own is the same difference as learning to play the guitar is from learning to play music with the guitar.
